The Verifone Omni 396 is an easy to use, compact terminal that quickly processes transactions with its 2400-baud modem. In addition, the terminal can download on site or remotely over phone lines. Equipped with a Flash EPROM, the terminal can upgrade operating systems electronically and quickly make firmware changes. Choose from a variety of memory options – 128 Kbyte, 256 Kbyte, 512 Kbyte, or 896 Kbyte to fit the needs of your company. This terminal is further customizable with three ports that giver merchants the options of adding a printer, PIN pad, smart card reader, bar code wands, or check readers. Merchants can easily respond to prompts on the terminal display using the screen-addressable keys. Furthermore, the color-coded keys are programmable to perform an action at the touch of a button.
